The Lead Investigator
Tim Karney is a writer, a lifelong observer, and a professional "connector of dots."
With a background in publishing, content, technical writing, he brings a logical, detailed eye to the world of mystery fiction.
As an author and a fan, Tim founded Amateur Sleuth Central to bridge the gap between the people who write the mysteries and the people who love to solve them.

What We Believe
Readers are Smart: We don't skip the spoilers without warning, and we don't underestimate your ability to catch a killer by Chapter 10.
Community Matters: A mystery is better when it’s shared.
The Hook is Everything: If a book doesn’t grab us by the collar in the first three chapters, we’ll tell you why.
